LAS VEGAS: Wynn Las Vegas on March 19 will introduce Elio, a new social dining restaurant concept in partnership with Enrique Olvera, Daniela Soto-Innes, and Santiago Perez of ATM Group. The group is behind restaurants Cosme and Atla in New York City and Pujol in Mexico City.

LOS ANGELES: The Los Angeles Convention Center and in-house caterer Taste of LA by Levy Restaurants repurposed 800 meals following Grammys Week events, through a partnership with nonprofit Musically Fed. The unused meals were donated to the Los Angeles Mission, the Midnight Mission, and the Good Shepherd Center for Homeless Women & Children.

Visit Anaheim has promoted three senior executives: Charles Harris is now the chief marketing officer and executive vice president for public affairs, Junior Tauvaa is chief sales officer, and Mariles Krok is vice president of meeting and partnership sales.

MIAMI/SOUTH FLORIDA: Orphans World Wide is celebrating its 35th year of operation with its first fund-raising gala March 14. It will be held at the Eden Roc hotel.

NEW YORK: Sonnier & Castle by RHC has hired industry veteran Audrey Isaac as executive director of events, while Robb Garceau has returned to the catering company, where he previously worked, as executive chef. 

PORTLAND, MAINE: Diversified Communications has acquired Aquaculture UK, reportedly the leading trade show for the aquatic food sector, which is said to be a growing field. 

PHOENIX/SCOTTSDALE: Hyatt Regency Downtown Phoenix has completed an extensive renovation. The property, reportedly the area’s closest hotel to the Phoenix Convention Center, now features 693 redesigned guest rooms, 35 revamped meeting spaces, a new restaurant and market, refreshed atrium, rooftop courtyard, and more.
