1. Bacaro L.A.
This intimate 1,100-square-foot wine bar opened in April. The 32-seat space has a rustic decor and banquette seating. Chalkboard paint covers the walls, which list the dishes on the menu. Bacaro serves all wines by the glass, and the list includes small-production Italian varietals.
2. Palate Food & Wine
This restaurant and wine shop opened in May. The 3,000-square-foot dining room has a zinc bar and seats 56 at a communal table and in booths.
3. Brix@1601
Open since April, this 10,000-square-foot restaurant offers more than 300 wines. The dining room features leather seating, brick archways, and multiple fireplaces. An adjacent retail space, named Brixwine, includes a tasting room that is available for full buyouts.
4. Vinoteque
This Westside wine bar and live-music venue opened in April. The 1,900-square-foot space seats 80 for events and hosts blues and jazz nightly.
