The Olive Kitchen & Bar, owned by Greg Morris, is the new venue inside the Grafton Hotel on the Sunset Strip. The restaurant offers casual fine dining and California-Italian cuisine. Morris also designed the space, which has modern Italian decor marked by masculine fixtures, and cartoon-style murals on the walls.
The restaurant has a capacity of 60, with room for 10 on the pool deck and eight at the bar. The dining room is open until midnight and the bar until 2 a.m. daily. (Olive also provides room service for the hotel from 7 a.m. to midnight.)
Signature dishes include Meyer lemon ricotta crepes and Capri frittatas for breakfast; crispy brick-roasted chicken and roasted beet and burrata salad for lunch; fennel sausage and caramelized onion pizza; and baked lasagna bolognese and lobster macaroni and cheese for dinner. Signature cocktails include a cucumber gimlet and a basil old fashioned.
