Here are new bars and restaurants suitable for off-site meetings, client entertaining, or even intimate events in Houston.

Public Services Wine & Whisky, which specializes in unique, world-class wine and whiskey, opened in September. With 3,800 square feet of space, it holds as many as 150 guests. The upscale American venue features hand-painted 15-foot ceilings, hardwood floors, and marble counter tops. Food choices are limited, but the venue works with Revival Market Catering for private events.

Open since September, Museum Park Café serves refined American cuisine in a contemporary setting. The 4,100-square-foot venue offers private dining as well as full buyouts. The restaurant holds 130 guests, plus an additional 70 on the patio. The private dining room, which is equipped with audiovisual connectivity and a projector, can be reserved for no fee. Complimentary parking is available in the attached parking garage.

Stone's Throw is a high-end neighborhood bar. Open since August, the 2,200-square-foot space holds as many as 151 people. Large groups can reserve the upstairs balcony, while smaller groups can take advantage of a communal table downstairs. The space is adorned with a floor-to-ceiling bar and windows and Juliet balconies. A small bar menu is available.
