Here are at new hotels and a museum suitable for off-site meetings, client entertaining, or even intimate events in Austin.

Across the river from downtown, the centerpiece of the 448-room Hyatt Regency Austin is the newly renovated Zilker Ballroom, which opened in July and seats as many as 1,200 guests. The space measures 14,136 square feet and includes a two-story atrium and an outdoor balcony. The hotel also built out a separate seven-story parking garage building with 800 spaces.

Four Seasons Hotel Austin underwent extensive renovations and unveiled the multimillion-dollar redesign in September. The guest rooms were completely updated with new entryways and fixtures, along with new desks and bathroom tiles. Trio, the hotel’s restaurant, now has zebrawood ceiling panels and cork fixtures, along with new banquettes. The lawn, accessible through the restaurant’s terrace, was landscaped to include lounge seating and tree lighting. The 291-room hotel has an outdoor saltwater pool, a 5,500-square-foot spa, and a 7,000-square-foot ballroom.

The Austin Children’s Museum was renamed the Thinkery when it made the move in late 2013 from its former downtown location to the Mueller neighborhood. The hybrid science, technology, and educational center spans 40,000 square feet. Available for rental are the main floor, the second floor, and four smaller and intimate program rooms. The courtyard and the backyard are available, as well. Usage of current exhibits is available with an additional fee.
