In 2006, David Manero Restaurants opened Vic & Angelo's, an Italian coal-oven enoteca, in Palm Beach and Delray Beach. This past July, restaurateur David Manero decided to bring the brand to Miami, opening up shop on Ocean Drive.
Lynn Interior Design created the interiors for the restaurant, which features a 1,000-square-foot downstairs main dining area with red upholstered chairs situated around marble tables; there are also reclaimed Chicago brick walls and solid mahogany wood flooring. Six red Venetian chandeliers hang throughout the space alongside 85 other European light fixtures. The first- and second-floor bars have furnishings upholstered in white fabric. Upstairs, the private space showcases a floor-to-ceiling glass enclosure, lounge area with sofas, and capacity for about 90 for a sit-down dinner and up to 10 at each of the eight private booths. A DJ station and a V.I.P. balcony overlooking Ocean Drive with four tables, seating two to four, can also be found on the upper level.
The outdoor seating area is furnished with Driade Lord Yo dining chairs in terracotta and three private cabanas that seat four, decorated in red, green, blue, and orange. Also outside are 16 dining tables that seat two to 10 guests. The area can also be used for cocktail receptions for 30.
Similar to its sister restaurants, the Miami eatery features pasta dishes, paninis, soups, and pizza. A full array of desserts are offered, including affogato, tiramisu, and cannolis.
