The restaurant has a casual, contemporary feel with bright blue and green light fixtures and colorful posters on the walls. The dining room can seat about 100 people at four-top tables and small booths. There is also a bar on the left side of the venue with seating for 15 and two flat-screen TVs. A long, covered patio along one side of building has seating for 70. Dark-brown drapes provide some privacy from passersby on the sidewalk.
Truffles Grill is available for buyout, and management can create custom menus for groups.
2. The former Barnie’s Coffee & Tea on Park Avenue reopened November 7 with a new name and a new concept. Barnie’s Coffee Kitchen still offers a wide selection of coffee and tea (more than 50 brewed-to-order coffees are available), but now there are also breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus focused on made-from-scratch offerings and locally sourced ingredients.
The interior space has been remodeled to create seating for 35 people inside at wooden tables, more suitable for a business meeting that typical coffee shop lounge furniture. A brick courtyard has additional seating for 45 people. The company is in the process of remodeling four additional central Florida locations into Barnie’s Coffee Kitchens; it will also open a new location in the City Arts Factory in early 2012.
