See What Guests Ate at 'Food & Wine's Best New Chefs Event

From caviar to cupcakes, the catering was a co-star at the magazine’s event honoring up-and-coming food talents.

Food & Wine celebrated the 2017 edition of its Best New Chefs with a V.I.P. party on April 4 at Rock & Reilly’s NYC at the Renaissance New York Midtown Hotel. The magazine’s event producer, Shanette Vega, worked with Francesca Events to create the event.

This particular guest list includes culinary notables with some of the most refined and adventurous palates around. Each year, the event rises to the challenge by featuring dishes from past honorees of the magazine’s annual recognition of up-and-coming food talents. This year featured Andrew Carmellini of Little Park, April Bloomfield of the Spotted Pig, Jeremiah Stone and Fabián von Hauske of Contra and Wildair, and Alex Stupak of EmpellĂłn. Shirley Chung, finalist of Top Chef Season 14 also created a dish, and passed hors d’oeuvres from chef Chai Trivedi reflected Rock & Reilly’s gastro-pub concept.

From "corned beet" sliders to mini mac and cheese bites with lobster and truffles, see what was on the menu at the event.
