ATLANTA: The Atlanta Dogwood Festival’s Mimosa 5K will take place on April 9 in Midtown Atlanta. The race, which ends with a mimosa toast in Piedmont Park, courtesy of Cupcake Vineyards, is part of the 86th annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival. The city’s longest running festival and the third oldest fine arts festival in the country, the event takes place April 8-10 in Piedmont Park.
CHICAGO: Taste America, presented by Capital One, is a nationwide initiative created by the James Beard Foundation to bring together chefs and diners to support the local restaurants rebuilding a more sustainable and equitable industry. The March 15 dinner will be an intimate gathering hosted by chef Cedric Harden of River Roast and chef Darnell Reed of Luella’s Southern Kitchen, and they will prepare a multicourse menu that reflects their signature styles. The Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle, an annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration that typically marks the unofficial kick-off of spring running season in Chicago, will take place on March 20. The course weaves its way through Chicago’s Loop, starting and finishing in Grant Park.
LOS ANGELES: The Besame Mucho Festival will take place at Dodger Stadium on Dec. 3. The Live Nation event will feature a multigenerational lineup of Latin artists across Rockero, Las Clasicas and Te Gusta El Pop! stages, with artists including Caifanes, Café Tacvba, Juanes, Enanitos Verdes, Los Tigres Del Norte, Los Ángeles Azules and more.
MIAMI/SOUTH FLORIDA: Smart City Expo Miami will take place as a hybrid event from Dec. 12-14, with the in-person portion being held at the James L. Knight Center. The third edition of the event will have a “Sustainable is the New Smart” theme, and it will gather attendees from the urbanism and technology industries.
