BURNABY, BRITISH COLUMBIA: The Fruit Beer Fest, taking place Aug. 13 at Swangard Stadium, will feature live entertainment, a marketplace area with vendors, food trucks and of course, plenty of drinks. The festival is being hosted by West Craft Beer Supply, organizers of the popular Hopwired Festival. Over 30 breweries have already been announced for Fruit Beer Fest, including local favorites like 33 Acres Brewing, Container Brewing, Field House Brewing, Another Beer Co. and more.
MERRITT, BRITISH COLUMBIA: Music festival Bass Coast is a boutique art and music experience founded and run entirely by women; it prides itself on having no sponsors or corporate presence. In 2022, the event will take place July 8-11. The lineup hasn’t been announced yet, but electronic artists are to be expected.
VANCOUVER: The Stanley Park Railway Easter Train is taking place April 15-18. Guests of all ages can hop aboard the train for a journey through the woods to find a variety of Easter-themed surprises and goodies. Attendees will enjoy a special Easter soundtrack while keeping an eye out for any hidden eggs or bunnies in the forest. After the train ride, kids can meet the Easter Bunny and explore the Bunny Burrow Maze.
The annual Planted Expo, Canada’s largest plant-based lifestyle show, is taking place June 4-5 at the Vancouver Convention Centre. The highly anticipated event will showcase over 200 plant-based companies, with exhibitors including Yumy Bear, Plant Veda and The Very Good Food Company.
Sarah McLachlan is headlining the Squamish Constellation Festival this year, taking place July 22-24 at Henrickson Field. (McLachlan’s show will take place on the final day.) For the first time, the event will have camping and parking on-site, with a general store and shuttle going to and from Vancouver. The full lineup will be announced on April 5.
