VOLO Experiential Marketing Agency Produces Massive-Scale Product Launch for Global Gaming Brand

The Galaverse blends tech, gaming, and creativity at a series of epic global events.

The Galaverse, commissioned by Gala Games, was imagined and brought to life by VOLO Experiential Marketing Agency in December 2021 in a remarkably complex—and wildly successful—experiential brand launch in Las Vegas. Gala then tasked VOLO to produce an even more epic event in Europe in June 2022—requiring 100,000 square feet of venue space and accommodations for nearly 1,200 guests, staff, and crew, all on a 94-day schedule!

These tasks would have posed a difficult challenge for any experiential event and production company with a full year to plan and execute—and been virtually impossible on a three-month schedule. But not for VOLO.

Locations and schedules were scouted throughout Europe, but the island of Malta was selected for its most suitable venue, hotel capacity, and unique environment, where 127 trailers of production and staging equipment and a crew of 680 were imported and deployed with VOLO's bold vision and strategic expertise to craft one of the most astonishing experiential events the industry has ever seen.

General Sessions
The three-day, two-night event included two days of general sessions that were shows unto themselves with live choreographed entertainment, carefully curated music, theatrical special effects, and towering LED screens filled with HD video and 3D visual content created in Unreal Engine. These sessions were announcement platforms for eight new Gala games, plus the stunning release of the debut album for Mt. Novel "Worlds"
VOLO's elite team of creative directors, scenic designers, and craftsmen also developed 11 different theme park-quality immersive "worlds"—each bringing one of Gala's digital games to life with interactive casts, bespoke costuming, novel sets, and myriad artfully edited and custom music tracks.

Webcast
Day three featured an hour-long webcast, shot in London and Malta, edited on-site, and crafted to network standards with cinematic cameras. The broadcast featured live and prerecorded interviews, Q&A sessions, and a ramp-up to the Gala Film announcement. 

Theatrical Animation

A-List Celebrity Entertainment
Entertainment continued each evening with full-set performances from renowned A-list celebrity music artists including Noel Gallagher, George Erza, Tom Misch, Disclosure, Phoenix, Remi Wolf, Editors, and Bassjackers. VOLO produced and managed all talent and provided backline, lighting, sound, staging, concert visualization, and an epic fireworks finale!
