2019 15 Over 50: B.J. Enright

B.J. Enright works in Acworth, Georgia, as president and CEO of Tradeshow Logic. As a 2019 15 Over 50 honoree, Enright discusses her passion for the events industry.

How I got here: My grandfather was Harold E. Bartlett, who was the founder of Andrews-Bartlett and was inducted into the Hall of Leaders in 1990. After graduating from Miami of Ohio, I followed in my grandfather’s footsteps and joined Andrews-Bartlett in 1987. When we sold Andrews-Bartlett to GES in 1993, I remained with GES in both sales and operational leadership roles. From 1993 to 1998, I was the vice president of sales for The Aaron Group, where we broke new ground, combining forces with Hoffend Xpositions to produce IMTS—two smaller, family-owned contractors took customer service to new heights at one of the largest shows in the U.S.   In 1998, I returned to GES, where I led a national program designed to elevate GES’ shows.  Today, as founder and the president and CEO for Tradeshow Logic, I’m proud to lead a team of passionate, dedicated and innovative industry experts who are leading positive change in the tradeshow industry.

Greatest career accomplishment: In 2002, we introduced an entirely new general contracting model to the industry.

Impressive stats: At the 2019 National Association of Broadcasters Show, I led the Tradeshow Logic team to implement NAB Show Cares, a new program offering significant cost-saving initiatives like unlimited material handling, “no surprise” electrical outlet pricing and inclusive rigging pricing that have completely changed the economic landscape of the tradeshow floor and saved exhibitors nearly 40 percent.

Specific improvement I’ve made: We were the first to eliminate paper exhibitor kits and introduced the first online ordering system and in 2010, we were the first to make show management and general contracting services available from a single company.

What I do outside of work: I enjoy spending time with my sons and watching them play tennis and basketball—Finn (14 years old, 6’7”) and Mac (12 years old, 5’10”). I enjoy tennis and can always be talked into an afternoon round of golf.
