Melissa Moten, 34, works in Denver as global sales director at PRA Business Events. As a 2019 40 Under 40 honoree, Moten discusses her passion for the events industry.
What I do: Within PRA, I’m responsible for the account management and growth of some of our key accounts. In my role I’m able to be an advocate to my clients for all 27 of our locations and remote execution to ensure consistency across our system.
Greatest career accomplishment: I was named Rising Star for PRA in 2017 and Supplier of the Year for SITE Minnesota in 2018.
Impressive stats: In 2018, I was able to double revenue in my largest account.
What I am working on now: PRA has taken a new approach to the DMC model and has successfully created a team to allow us to execute events even where we don’t have an office. That being said, I’m following many of my clients to remote execution locations and am thrilled to be able to service their business objectives anywhere.
What I do outside of work: Aside from my involvement on the board of SITE Minnesota I enjoy my down time with husband and two dogs. Cooking, baking and crafting are also ways I destress along with getting on my Peloton a few days a week.
