How she got here: While attending college full time, this Jill-of-all-trades also owned a wedding consulting business, opened a test market store for Starbucks and held various board positions for a local chapter of the American Marketing Association. Her senior year, she was poached by a tech startup, where she planned and executed events. From there, she worked on local and national events for Muscular Dystrophy Association before taking a job launching a children’s educational network cartoon on CBS’s Cookie Jar TV lineup. Those experiences led her to Dollar Tree/Family Dollar, where she manages a $5 million-plus budget for events and special projects.
