2016's 40 Under 40: Mary Ridenhour

Mary Ridenhour 25, Corporate Events Coordinator Waddell & Reed and Ivy Funds, Overland Park, Kan. What she does: Ridenhour plans more than 45 training and incentive meetings per year ranging from five to 1,500 people for Ivy Funds, an investment management company, and its parent company, Waddell & Reed. How I got here: “During my final semester of college, I had an assignment to interview someone in a career field I wanted to enter, so I interviewed my current boss. After the assignment, she offered me a short internship helping out at the company’s annual incentive sales meeting. A year later, a position in her corporate events department opened up, and she reached out to me.”
