Andrea Bocelli launched his new foundation on Friday at the Beverly Hilton with an entertainment-packed event with a diverse array of musical acts. The fund-raising gala, produced by Studiomusica and Jo Champa, included an auction and performances by Bocelli himself as well as David Foster, Heather Headley, Anna Maria Martinez, and a surprise performance by Michael Bolton. In addition, Bocelli presented the first foundation award, a Girard-Perregaux World Timer timepiece, to music recorder and producer Quincy Jones for his worldwide philanthropic efforts. The night came to an end with Bocelli's iconic song, "Con Te Partiro."
