Proxfinity, a Chicago-based technology company, recently created the Bullseye Badge. Using patented technology and data, the wearable device provides visual notifications to help meeting attendees recognize others with shared interests. “Other applications still have users looking at their phones to find their matches” said Proxfinity co-founder Christine Hutchinson in a press release. “Our goal is to bring back the face-to-face experience and help people keep phones in their pockets during networking events.” The badge automatically shares and organizes contact information for attendees; it also gathers and aggregates information for event organizers to help them analyze networking patterns.
