Gifts took center stage at the Marriott Marquis for this year’s Angel Ball, the annual fund-raising gala benefiting the G&P Foundation for Cancer Research. On 3 Productions provided the attendee gift bags, and presented an extravagant gift lounge where the talent performing at the event—including Patti LaBelle, Deborah Gibson and Jessica Simpson—could customize their own bags by selecting the items they wished. The lounge included items like Godiva chocolates and Bailey’s liquor sets, as well as gift certificates for Lasik eye surgery at the Laser Eye Center of Silicon Valley and custom-made tiaras by Lourdes.
"The key was luxury," said On 3 cofounder Samantha Milo Haft. “The G&P Foundation wanted to give something really special back to the celebrities they worked with—interesting, new things. With the assortment we offered in the lounge, we had something for everybody to choose from.”
Inside the ballroom, Inez Weinstein Special Events and Belle Fleur provided the elegant gold and white table décor that complemented the event's heavenly theme. White tablecloths with white patchwork organza squares joined together with sequin or pearl accents covered the tables.
A glittery gold angel ornament sat atop each napkin, and white cymbidium orchids along with dozens of crystal candlesticks dotted the tabletops for an ethereal look. Belle Fleur covered the backs of the chairs at the tables of the highest-level
sponsors (the "Archangels") with delicate angel wings manufactured by Mother Plucker, and draped the remaining chairs with wispy white feather boas.
