Wrapped cars, doughnuts, and hot rum punch set the scene at Smart U.S.A.'s "un-holiday" party for members of the media on December 13 at the Gutter in Brooklyn. While bowling, journalists met members of the Smart brand and ate mini burgers and other hors d'oeuvres, along with desserts like baked apples on a stick and doughnuts with Tahitian cream inside, provided by Union Square Events.
Beyond bowling, guests also got the chance to sit in two custom-wrapped Smart vehicles and learn about Smart Fortwo's interchangeable body panels. One car, covered in a design using authentic drawings by children with notes to Santa, was used to deliver toys to Safe Horizon, the largest victims’ services agency serving children, adults, and families affected by violence and abuse throughout New York. Red and gold wrapped the other Smart car in honor of the holidays.
"One of the fun things about Smart is that with its modular body panels, wraps, interior tailoring, and a huge selection of paints, the Fortwo is almost infinitely customizable," said Tracey Matura, general manager, Smart U.S.A. "These two vehicles are great examples."
In honor of the bowler with the lowest score, Smart donated $5,000 to the Conservation Fund.
