Midnight Theatre

The newly opened Midnight Theatre in the Manhattan West neighborhood of New York City is an art deco-inspired, intimate performance venue with a variety of programming including magicians, comedy, music, and DJs. The venue, from creative director Warren Adcock, chef/restaurateur Josh Cohen, and designer Cycle Projects, features 270-degree projection mapping on each wall, allowing the decor to digitally change, and an on-site Pan-Asian restaurant called Hidden Leaf with a 90-seat dining room and 40-seat lounge and bar area. The theater boasts 150 seated capacity (200 standing) and is available for private buyouts.

Postal Petals Workshops

Floral delivery company Postal Petals offers flower-arranging workshops as a team-building activity. The events can be virtual or in person and require a minimum of 10 people, starting at $195 per person. The workshops include a box filled with bundles of fresh-cut flowers delivered to the door of each attendee, a flower-arranging toolkit (including a floral apron, floral shears, and design tape), and either a virtual or in-person professional florist to host and lead the group through the flower arranging process. Attendees are invited to use whatever vessels they have on hand during the workshop session.

The Escape Game

The Escape Game recently made its Los Angeles debut at the Westfield Century City mall. Perfect for a group outing or team-building exercise, the escape room franchise designs story-driven, immersive experiences that include deciphering codes, discovering clues, and working together to escape before the clock runs out. The new LA location offers four games: The Depths, Prison Break, The Heist, and Special Ops: Mysterious Market. General admission is $42.99 per player, and each game can fit up to eight guests. The venue can host 40-45 guests comfortably. Buyout costs are dependent on the day of the week and the number of guests.

Sommsation

Wine-tasting platform Sommsation has launched in-person tastings in addition to its virtual ones. Typically, a flight includes two or three full-size bottles of wine shipped from the winery to the preferred location. Corporate pricing is based on the number of flights, incorporating sommelier service, shipping, and taxes. Sommsation also offers custom events and experience add-ons, such as non-alcoholic options, cheese board offerings, or recommendations on food pairings for the wines. The Sommsation concierge team works with corporate clients to provide a recommendation on the appropriate amount of wine for the party size. A professional sommelier leads the group at an event space or office, sharing stories about the winery, how each of the wines are produced, and what makes them distinctive.

tinyB Chocolate Kits & Events

San Francisco-based chocolatier tinyB Chocolate, which specializes in making brigadeiros (Brazilian truffles), recently introduced its Holiday Chocolate Truffle Creation Kit ($50). It includes everything needed to make festive variations of brigadeiros at home—perfect for sending to virtual event attendees. tinyB Chocolate is also able to host virtual, in-person, and hybrid team-building events where attendees can roll and decorate their own chocolate brigadeiros; pricing starts at $65 per person.

Paint Cabin Parties

Based in Toronto, Paint Cabin hosts DIY workshops featuring F&B, music, entertainment, and more for groups of 10-50 participants for in-studio events or 10-2,000 for virtual events across North America. On-site events at locations within the greater Toronto area are also available. Experiences include “Design Your Very Own Vintage Wood Sign” ($62.85 per person), “String N' Drink Workshop Party” ($45 per person), and “Glow In The Dark DJ Paint Party” ($52.25 per person). Enchant on The Strip

Enchant, producers of nationwide Christmas light experiences, has teamed up with Resorts World Las Vegas to bring a special edition of the live holiday event to Las Vegas Boulevard this year. “Enchant on the Strip” officially opens Nov. 19 and will continue operation through Jan. 1. The spectacle will span over 10 acres across the Resorts World Las Vegas property and feature an immersive light maze, a 100-foot-tall holiday tree, ice skating, live entertainment, interactive games, and a holiday marketplace with local artisans. Specialty cocktails and culinary offerings will also be available from Resorts World restaurants. The event is nationally sponsored by Hallmark Channel, which will offer a variety of branded experiences including a Hallmark Channel “Cozy Christmas Corner,” photo opportunities, and a chance for fans to win a trip to the set of a Hallmark Channel movie. Private suites are available, as well as other spaces for booking including the light maze, skating rink, and various lounges. The entire event space can be reserved for a private party hosting 10,000 guests. Food and beverage packages are available, as well as private Santa visits, elf guides, and photographers.

Cucina Migrante

Operating primarily in San Diego, Orange County, and Palm Springs, Cucina Migrante, which specializes in farm-to-table experiences, offers pop-up dinners, team-building experiences, private chef services, and culinary adventure tours throughout California and Italy. Bespoke chef-led cooking classes, which begin at a farmer’s market, are hosted on-site at Cucina Migrante’s villa in Golden Hill, San Diego, or off-site at a client's home or location of choice. Cucina Migrante has worked with high-profile clients including The Melinda Gates Foundation, Microsoft, Sony, and more. The company typically offers team events for around 12-14 guests. Private group dinners cost $130 per person for four courses or $150 per person for five courses. Private group cooking classes cost $125 per person and include a welcome aperitivo, two dishes made from scratch, and dessert. Corporate team events range in price from $130-$190 per person. Maximum group size is 24 people at the main venue in San Diego and 60 people at a secondary location.

"Modern Parlor Magic” with David Carlo

Recently launched at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles, with weekend shows running through December, “Modern Parlor Magic” offers an evening filled with magic, mentalism, theater, and live music that’s reminiscent of Victorian-era parlor shows complete with furniture, art, antiques, and costumes. Magician David Carlo presents illusions, close-up mysteries, mind reading, and more. Group parties and buyouts are available with the option to provide a dinner/drink component in conjunction with the Biltmore. The space seats 70 people.

Carousel Club

The new Carousel Club, an open-air entertainment destination at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Fla. features 14,000 square feet of tented and open-air spaces including a spacious deck, covered Carousel Bar with ample seating, and a grassy garden for lounging and lawn games. A large antique carousel serves as the focal point of the space, and the decor features sporty motifs as a nod to thoroughbred horse racing. That’s because outdoor entertainment and shopping destination Gulfstream Park is home to a racetrack and casino. Carousel Club can hold 1,500 guests and is available for private events.

Tinsel Tavern

Atlanta’s Live! at The Battery will soon be the seasonal home to a holiday pop-up bar called Tinsel Tavern. Featuring plenty of tinsel and twinkling lights, holiday-inspired cocktails and small bites, and photo moments, the whimsical experience will be open Dec. 1-24. Private event spaces at Tinsel Tavern can accommodate groups of 30-160 people; pricing is dependent on the date and time, with discounted pricing on private events held Mondays through Wednesdays as well as on daytime holiday luncheons.

Cameo for Business

With Cameo for Business, brands can easily add star-studded lineups to their events—both virtually and in person—including corporate holiday parties with the cast of The Office, cooking demos with celebrity chefs, and more. Located in the heart of San Diego’s Gaslamp District, Johnny WAHOO! Golf Bar is a new entertainment venue that offers interactive golf simulators that allow users to experience championship courses including Pebble Beach, Bandon Dunes, and Pinehurst No. 2; bar fare such as potato chip nachos, bison meatballs, and southern corn fritters; large-format cocktails; and weekly programming. The space is within walking distance of the convention center and can accommodate up to 200 guests.
