Bowlmor Lanes owner Tom Shannon has added a whole new venue to his Union Square hotspot. Pressure, named for the pressurized bubble ceiling that covers the 16,000-square-foot rooftop space, is a billiards hall, screening space and nightclub in one. The fun stuff: 29 pool tables, four large movie screens, seven 42-inch plasma screens and even a Twister board designed into the carpet. The space offers several options for special events--you can rent semiprivate billiard rooms or the whole house, including Bowlmor. Prices to rent the full house for three hours start at $13,200; parties larger than 20 must meet a food and beverage minimum from Pressure's full bar and hors d'oeuvres and dinner menu.

SUMMIT One Vanderbilt has launched SUMMIT Events, a new private event space in collaboration with Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud’s catering venture, Cuisine Boulud New York, offering an elevated experience atop one of Midtown Manhattan’s most iconic observatories.
