Beginning September 18, the Metropolitan Museum of Art will present, for the first time, all 228 of the museum’s Dutch paintings (most of which date to the 17th century) in a landmark show, “The Age of Rembrandt,” which includes 20 works by the master painter. Taking over 12 galleries, the exhibition capitalizes on the museum’s stellar Dutch collection, considered the finest of its kind outside of Europe.
