Svedka Vodka wants a piece of the Super Tuesday action, or at least a chance to introduce its own candidate to the race: Svedka_grl. At primary-watching events in Washington and New York, Svedka_grl will announce her campaign for a “fembot in the White House” and a chance to “put the ‘party’ back in party politics,” with bumper-sticker positions such as “Make cocktails, not war” and “Life, liberty & the pursuit of happy hour.”

“Svedka has always positioned itself as a lifestyle brand with tongue-in-cheek messaging,” says campaign manager and Svedka chief marketing officer Marina Hahn. “The biggest and the best reality show of the year—the elections—is unfolding before our eyes, and we decided to take advantage of this opportunity.”The D.C. event, at Top of the Hill, will be decked with campaign posters and red, white, and blue balloons. New York’s Merc Bar function, sponsored by the 23/6 blog, will also have the “Straight Shot Express” bus, to bring voters directly from the polls to the party and give riders a taste of Svedka in cocktails like the Cosmo-Politician and the Global Cooler.
