Cupcake enthusiasts looking for a new source, take heed of the new boutique operation headed by Lauren Elizabeth. Elizabeth works as the executive pastry chef at the Plaza Athénée, but she dedicates her time outside of work to mini-cake experimentation. Using all-natural ingredients such as Valrhona chocolate, Mexican vanilla, organic milk, and French butter, she creates miniature cakes in varieties including red velvet, carrot, banana, and coconut. Each light and fluffy cake is packaged in a decorated paper box, and no two orders will ever look the same. Cupcakes start at $3; orders require one week’s notice.
