* INCOMING *

1. GOLDEN GLOBES MENU: From Los Angeles bureau chief Alesandra Dubin: The Golden Globes ceremony will cause its annual stir at the Beverly Hilton on January 15, and at a preview Thursday morning, the venue debuted an internationally influenced menu for 1,300 guests. Executive hotel chef Suki Sugiura explained that the concept was “global food harmony, one nation in food,” citing ingredients from as far away as Japan—where a region devastated by the tsunami is now producing fine miso again—and as close as California. Here’s the full menu, with photos:

2. VIRTUAL MEETINGS: Virtual Edge Institute founder Michael Doyle has seven predictions for the virtual meetings industry for 2012. Doyle expects to see more embedded event and meeting solutions and more year-round events. Doyle: "Events in 2012 will be open and easily accessible to attendees wherever they are located. Many event and meeting producers will want to take some code and embed their events and learning programs into their existing websites to simplify the attendee experience."

Midway Museum, with proceeds benefiting the P.C.M.A. Education Foundation’s education, scholarship, and research initiatives, San Diego's Reality Changers, and P.C.M.A.'s Network for the Needy.

4. CELEBRITIES TO C.E.S.: A roster of musicians, sports figures, and other famous faces will drum up buzz and promote products at the International C.E.S. in Las Vegas next week. Eliza Dushku will be the ambassador for Entertainment Matters at C.E.S., a program designed by and for Hollywood attendees.
