Page 71 recently opened in the dense dining and nightlife area of Ventura Boulevard in Studio City. It's in the former Clear Lounge space from the same owner, Bryan Suckut, and it's available for buyout with room for 250.
The 2,200-square-foot open space of the main room includes design details that the venue bills as a marriage of "a downtown New York City vibe with ultra modern European style and a touch of mid-century Palm Springs," including a red color palette and a collection of artwork from American artist Michael Gorman, for whom the venue was named.
Black-buttoned, tufted seating areas line the perimeter of the main room. A large white patent leather bench seat leads out to a spacious outdoor area, evoking the look and feel of a Palm Springs bungalow patio.
Design elements include sliding bathroom doors, commissioned by Suckut, which he intended to be both functional and eye catching, in line with the pop art Michael Gorman pieces within the space. Each door is made from large pieces of stenciled film positioned between two pieces of glass. The women’s bathroom has an image of actress and model Marisa Berenson, and the men’s bathroom door bears an image of Pablo Picasso.
Page 71 has indoor and patio seating for 150, including twelve Bertoia-style bar stools, five inside tables, and three outside tables.
