Everything about the launch of Calvin Klein's new fragrance Eternity Moment breathed clean, elegant simplicity. Produced by Calvin Klein Inc., and Kristy Tatem and Hilary Broderick from Harrison & Shriftman, the event's details matched the subtle pink color of the fragrance, from the flutes of bubbly pink cocktails to long pink boxes containing glowing candles and long, narrow boxes overflowing with white peonies by Florishop. And from the Hotel Gansevoort's rooftop, with its panoramic views of the city, even the rosy glow of the sun setting on the Hudson looked orchestrated to match the theme of the party.
Touches of the Calvin Klein style were everywhere: Each guest received a tester strip spritzed with the new fragrance as an entry pass before riding to the rooftop in elevators with flat-screen TV monitors displaying the new commercial for the perfume, featuring event hostess Scarlett Johansson. At the top, guests found larger monitors playing the commercial and male model-slash-waiters from ThePartyCrew.net in crisp white uniforms offering drinks and hors d'oeuvres provided by the hotel’s catering team. Short white tables and low chairs in baby pink covers decorated one side of the terrace.
The evening's calm, breezy atmosphere eventually made way for a live performance from Outkast's Big Boi (booked through Family Tree Management). Everyone—including the waitstaff—danced to Outkast tunes on the transparent dance floor that covered the Gansevoort’s 45-foot heated pool.
