For events that need a place to brand as their own, these new unmarked studios and clutter-free lofts provide a clean canvas.
1. Metropolitan Suite
Home to fashion presentations, product launches, and trade shows, the Metropolitan Pavilion is expanding its offerings to include another gallery-style space. On the second floor of the Chelsea building, the 8,500-square-foot Metropolitan Suite will be retrofitted with environmentally conscious amenities including low-voltage LED lighting and floors made from sustainably harvested wood. Metropolitan Pavilion is accepting bookings for the site, which is projected to open in late July.
2. Loft 676
Measuring 3,200 square feet, this unadorned site has 12-foot ceilings, exposed brick walls, and hardwood floors. On the border of NoHo and Greenwich Village, the fourth-floor venue has adjustable track lighting, a kitchen, and freight elevator access for load-in. Loft 676 holds about 225 for receptions or seats 150 for dinner.
3. Studio Square
Next to Kaufman Astoria Studios and just one block from the Museum of the Moving Image, Studio Square is a newly renovated building with a 12,500-square-foot loft. Designed as a flexible site for corporate functions, live music performances, and promotional events, the venue seats 500 or holds 1,000 for receptions and also offers a 3,000-square-foot terrace that can seat 200.
