Wendy’s "Claim Your Taste" Promotion

To tout its new “Right Price Right Size” value menu and the “Claim Your Taste” campaign, Wendy’s staged a public promotion at Chicago’s Union Station Tuesday. A “Tasty Trio” bean-bag toss let guests throw three bags at panels that would turn over to reveal food descriptors such as “crispy,” “fizzy,” or “zingy.” Guests could then use an iPad to clock their three words and upload their personal taste combos to Facebook.

'In Style' and Warner Brothers Golden Globes Party

Following Sunday’s Golden Globes ceremony, In Style and Warner Brothers hosted a party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel’s Oasis Courtyard. Thomas Ford of Tom Ford Designs constructed a tent over the fountain and decorated the space with an illuminated agate quartz wall, an antique gold ceiling, and a 20-foot-wide shimmering gold metal chandelier with 15,000 hand-tied hanging gold metal disc strands.

Golden Globes

Given rainy Golden Globes nights in recent years, this year Best Events built tents into the overall look of the Weinstein Company’s party. Inside the two large structures, overhead fabric panels, carpeting decked with strips of chocolate brown and blue, and a mix of mid-century modern and retro furniture formed an elegant, residential look for the Sunday night affair in Los Angeles.

BET Honors

At the BET Honors celebration at the Library of Congress in Washington, Events by André Wells created several table designs. Rentals came from Foundry Design Crew and DC Rental, with lighting from Atmosphere Lighting and a menu from Susan Gage Caterers. The show airs February 13.

Consumer Electronics Show

For this year’s International Consumer Electronics Show, Intel built an eye-catching display for its booth on the floor of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Tree-like in shape, the installation comprised 176 Ultrabooks flipped open to show screens glowing with alternating colors.

BabyGap’s Peter Rabbit Collection Launch

BabyGap promoted its Peter Rabbit-inspired collection on Saturday afternoon at the Gap in the Grove Los Angeles. With celebrities and their kids in attendance, the gathering saw black-and-white cutouts of Beatrix Potter’s famous character, a bunny petting zoo, and a performance by Lucky Diaz and the Family Band. To keep the snacks on theme, BabyGap planted carrot-shaped bags of candy, Goldfish crackers, and jelly beans in a garden box.

Sailor Jerry Event

Sailor Jerry commemorated its namesake’s 102nd birthday by offering complimentary permanent tattoos at an event in New York. The Monday-night bash tattooed 102 guests with an anchor—a nod to Navy veteran and tattoo artist Norman Collins's work and the rum brand’s logo.

Greater Fort Lauderdale Hello Sunny Launch

The Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau kicked off its winter marketing campaign by offering free ice skating at the Ice Rink at Rockefeller Center in New York—and decking out the iconic venue with palm trees, beach chairs, and umbrellas. The “Hello Sunny” campaign also included models in swimsuits to remind sweater- and scarf-clad Northerners of the warmer weather in Florida.

P.C.M.A. Convening Leaders Conference

More than 1,600 people received complimentary head shots at the Professional Convention Management Association's Convening Leaders conference, held Sunday through Wednesday at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. Chuck Fazio Photography set up a 1,600-square-foot makeshift studio in the middle of a large hall that was also used for general sessions. A team of professional hair and makeup artists provided touch-ups before the photo shoot.
