Caterer Wins Association's Highest Honor

At the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE) national convention this year, held in July in Arizona, NACE Orlando chapter president Billy Singleton won the 2006 Caterer of the Year award. Singleton began his catering career in 1981 and six years later joined the Villas of Grand Cypress Golf Resort. Formerly the director of conference services and catering, Singleton was recently promoted to director of food and beverage. The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin's Ed DiAntonio, vice president of the Orlando NACE chapter, won the convention's Best On-Premise Event in the Under $35,000 Total Budget category.
