The Florida Hotel & Conference Center, located at the Florida Mall in Orlando, is undergoing a $23 million total property renovation to reposition the hotel as a first-class meeting destination. Scheduled for completion in October 2006, renovations include the addition of 20,000 square feet of meeting space and several upgrades throughout the property such as new heated, outdoor pool and whirlpool, upgraded landscaping, new Starbuck's Café in the lobby, and a new restaurant Cricket's Grille. All guestrooms were updated with wall-mounted flat-panel LCD televisions, granite baths, pillow-top beds, refrigerator, safe, new furniture and decor.
