Disney has begun a campaign to provide a more nutritionally balanced range of foods. Translation: All meals at Walt Disney Parks & Resorts will now have more nutritious sides and beverages. The company promises to remove all added trans fats within Disney-operated restaurants by the end of 2007, and plans to remove trans fats from all licensed and promotional Disney products by the end of 2008. Per its new policies, Disney can now only use its name and characters on kid-focused products that meet specific guidelines, including limits on calories, fat, saturated fat, and sugar. Over the next several years, these policies will expand to the company's international markets as well.
