Last weekend, Santa Rosa Beach was home to Southern Breeze magazine's fifth annual Wine and Culinary Festival. The event was a part of the larger Autumn Tides Cultural Festival, which takes place through November and celebrates South Walton beaches.
The event started on Friday with wine dinners at two different locations: Beach Walk Crystal Beach restaurant and SunQuest Cruises' Solaris yacht. The five-course meals were each paired with five wines.
The Grand Wine Tasting, at which guests could choose from as many as 200 different wines, took place Saturday afternoon at the two-acre Gulf Place Amphitheater. Additionally, there were wine and cooking seminars headlined by Michael Bryan, executive director of the Atlanta Wine School, and chef Tim Creehan, owner of Beach Walk Crystal Beach and Creehan's Copper Grill.
The weekend wrapped up with local restaurants including the Santa Rosa Beach Club, Bud and Alley's Restaurant, and Basmati's Asian Cuisine and Sushi participating in the walk-around brunch on Sunday.
