The middle of the emporium houses the retail market and open kitchen, which is partially separated from the market by another recycled sail suspended from the ceiling. The market features artisanal cheeses, hard-to-find specialty food products, local produce, and deli items, all of which can be used to create a custom menu for private events.
The far left side of the venue has a 500-square-foot demonstration kitchen with seating for 30 at a U-shaped chef’s table. For larger groups, sliding glass doors can be opened to extend the kitchen area into one corner of the front parking lot, which can be roped off to create an indoor/outdoor space for 75 people. The test kitchen has a 48-inch flat-screen TV that can be used for presentations. It is ideal for a small meeting accompanied by a meal prepared in front of guests.
The emporium’s restaurant and market focus on fresh and locally sourced food, along with New England staples such as lobster bisque and clam chowder. The facility bakes its own bread and also has a "nanobrewery" that produces 28 gallons of unique and seasonal beers at a time. The full line of Shipyard products, as well as other craft beers, is also offered.
