U.S. Olympic Committee’s ‘Road to London’ Campaign Launch

With the summer Olympic Games just 100 days away, the U.S. Olympic Committee took to Times Square Wednesday to promote this year’s hopefuls as well as a fund-raising drive. In addition to sports demonstrations, the public event included photo ops with athletes as well as a double-decker bus from London.

H&M’s Tent at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival

H&M's loungey tent on the festival grounds in Indio, California, beckoned attendees to drop in and share kisses in photo booths; every kiss resulted in the brand donating $1 toward H.I.V./AIDS causes. It offered other amenities like freshen-up products and candy.

Saucony's 'Find Your Strong' Event

Tied to Monday's Boston Marathon, Saucony hosted a promotional event for its new Kinvara 3 running shoe at the city’s Cyclorama on April 13. Outside the venue, a vehicle in the brand’s signature red had display cases for the new shoes. At the back of the van, a sound system playing upbeat tunes attracted passerby.

Warner Brothers Television Group's Exhibit Opening

Warner Brothers Television Group hosted a launch party on Thursday at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills to celebrate the opening of the studio’s new museum exhibit, 'Television: Out of the Box,' which pays tribute to 60 years of television history. Accordingly, the event's arrivals carpet—instead of the traditional red—was striped to look like TV color bars.

Fashion for Paws

The Washington Humane Society's fifth annual Fashion for Paws fund-raiser Saturday raised a record amount of money and drew nearly 1,700 people. The event returned to the National Building Museum for a second year with a new layout and more sponsors.

Relais & Chateaux Grand Chefs Dinner

On Monday, Relais & Châteaux, an international network of more than 500 hotels and restaurants, held its Grand Chefs dinner. The event brought more than 40 renowned chefs from around the world to New York’s Gotham Hall for a decadent dinner. A portion of the proceeds benefited Citymeals-on-Wheels.

Cotton Candy Couture’s Evening of Eye Candy

Chicago fashion designer Jenna Zielbaur hosted a launch party for Cotton Candy Couture, her new line of cocktail dresses on April 12. Appropriately, the fete took over Candyality, a new shop at Water Tower Place. As guests ate cotton candy and swigged sweet pink cocktails, Fig Media DJ Annalise Freytag spun party tunes from behind a retro-style candy counter.

Barton G. Weiss encouraged event planners to take risks at the BizBash Expo in Florida Wednesday. He shared insights from his career, from his start as a professional ice skater to his work in women’s fashion, event production, restaurants, a hotel, and a magazine launching next month.

POGO Gala

The Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario hosted its annual POGO Gala fund-raiser on Saturday in Toronto. Themed “Inspire,” oversize chandeliers and paper flowers hung from the ceiling. The event raised $700,000 for the group’s financial-assistance program.

Disney's 'Chimpanzee' Premiere

Disneynature hosted the world premiere of Chimpanzee at Orlando's AMC Downtown Disney April 13 as part of the two-day Disney Kids and Nature Celebration to recognize, reward, and inspire conservation leadership among children. The company brought several of its hottest Disney Channel stars into town for the weekend, including Debby Ryan from the show Jessie, and Bella Thorne and Zendaya from Shake It Up.
