Add Gotham Hall to the list of former bank buildings-turned-event spaces. Once a former Greenwich Savings Bank, Gotham Hall rivals both Cipriani 42nd Street and Capitale in grandeur and elegance. A gorgeous 120-foot ceiling with an ornate glass skylight soars above the 10,000-square-foot main ballroom, skirted by immense Corinthian columns and limestone walls. A large mezzanine area overlooking the main ballroom can hold 225 for cocktails, and the front lounge area near the entrance can hold an additional 125. The Oak Room, with its leather furnishings, private restroom, intricate wood walls and fireplace, is ideal for a board meeting or small, intimate party. The main ballroom can hold 1,000 for cocktails or 675 for a sit-down event. Gotham Hall will reopen after winter renovations on Monday with Time magazine's Time Style & Design issue launch party. —Suzanne Ito (Photo by Oleg March)
