VENUE: Show Debuts in Times Square

E2812disc 03 0205 Show 1 152
The louche, bohemian look of the original Moulin Rouge cabaret combines with the posh elegance of Victorian England at Show, the new bar, lounge and nightclub in the former space of Saci. Designed by Norman Gosney (who designed Slipper Room, the World, Tunnel and the decor for Marc Jacobs' Moulin Rouge-themed holiday party last year), the tri-level space offers plenty of elevated seating surrounding the dance floor. A 65-person V.I.P. lounge features a private bar and separate sound system, and the V.I.P. skyboxes behind the DJ booth can hold 20. But the centerpiece of the space is a large 26-by-16-foot Broadway theater-style stage—which can extend to form a catwalk for runway shows—embellished with gold scrolling and heavy red velvet curtains. The entire 6,000-square-foot space can accommodate 600. —Suzanne Ito
