Cozy and sleek, Movida evokes a modern ship with its decklike tiers designed by photographer Dah Len. The West Village club has three levels and is equipped with custom-designed furnishings from the Domus Design Collection. The venue also has a menu from chef Sam DeMarco, inspired by coastal regions around the globe—with items like Thai calamari, mako shark suggestive of Cape Town, and cod fish croquettes reminiscent of Ipanema. There is also a dessert menu and an extensive, sea-inspired cocktail list. Movida can hold as many as 300 guests, and the 2,500-square-foot space is divided into three distinctive areas, each with seating capabilities. —Mark Mavrigian
