How she spends her days: "'Typical' is an interesting word to use when in the experiential marketing industry. Every project and client is so unique, which is why I love it! Every day I set aside time for my 'brain dumps.' It is a process where I just sit and think through my projects and jot them down in my notebook. Old school, but it works!"
Career goals: "In the next five years, I hope to continue on my production path, leading and managing larger, more complex projects that will empower me to make a greater impact, both domestically and internationally. I also hope to continue working with more Black-owned businesses, brands, and media, bridging cultural gaps for brands and uplifting the voices of my community. Further down the line, I’d like to take all the knowledge and experience I’ve amassed and transform it into a more consulting and strategic role, helping woman- and minority-owned brands grow and develop their brand stories."
Advice for her peers: "Stay curious and humble! The event industry is always changing with new trends, etc., and there is always something new to learn. As a producer, you interface with a lot of people from different backgrounds, experiences, and knowledge. You will not always know it all, and that is OK. Be open to alternate ways of thinking and doing things!"
How she spends her free time: "I am an experience person through and through! I truly cherish spending time with loved ones. I am often the one in my group trying to coordinate an outing whether that is dinner plans, a get-together, or a fun group activity."
