Aaron Korman is the president of High Life Event Group. He's based in Toronto. A quote from his nomination: Korman plans "to grow with a team of full-time, dedicated staff who strive to innovate and deliver exceptional service week in and week out."

How he spends his days: "The beautiful thing about being the founder of a company that is still very much in its small and scrappy era is that no day is 'typical.' Wearing many hats is an understatement, and although my passion lies in curating entertaining experiences at private events, this is not what I spend all my time doing. Most of my days are spent collaborating with clients on their projects, researching new vendors and products to allow us to elevate High Life further, and working on marketing efforts that continue to set us apart from other companies in the space."

Impact he hopes to have on the industry: "There is a lot of rinse and repeat in the private events business, where companies are continuing to do the same thing over and over again. Whether it’s a lack of community, innovation, or exceptional service, it really is doing a disservice to clients in the space. At High Life, we’re focused on continually using these pillars to establish ourselves as a staple in the events world."

Career goals: "I love the saying 'If you want to go far, go together.' I see High Life five years down the road with a team that has grown five times, with a community of partners, vendors, and clients that share the culture and values that High Life was built upon."

Advice for his peers: "My advice would be to work with people who motivate and inspire you. As much as the events world can be a bit of a free-for-all, I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing today without the vast knowledge I gained from previous and current employers, mentors, and peers."

How he spends his free time: "In my free time, I’m probably either on the golf course, playing soccer, or spending time with my family and friends."
