The new Apple store in SoHo already had event planners and designers chatting about its clean and friendly look. With its clear plastic staircase, groovy music and mini auditorium—plus lots of interactive stations where shoppers can play with the toys—the store has plenty to inspire events (which we pointed out in our latest BiZBash Event Style Reporter newspaper). So it was fitting that Entertainment Weekly just threw a party right in the store, promoting its photo issue with a simple party that showed off the space as much as the mag's photos.
Match Catering and Eventstyles served mojitos and munchies, and EW and Musters & Company decorated the space with blowups of photos of the likes of Tom Waits, Lara Flynn Boyle and Rachel Griffiths. The computers throughout the store also showed photos from the issue, and guests could log on to an online EW photo auction benefiting the 52nd Street Project.

Entertainment Weekly launched its special photo issue by decorating the Apple store in SoHo with blowups of photos featured in the magazine.

The computers throughout the store also showed photos from the issue.

Guests walked the dramatic clear staircase in the middle of the store.

Upstairs a DJ spun at the front of the store's mini auditorium.
