Why He's Here: Todd’s elegant look carries with it a level of cachet— and his background as a set designer is evident in his dramatic and classy designs.

And his résumé also includes events like the after-party for Glamour magazine’s Women of the Year awards, where he created an exotic lounge setting rich with draped fabrics and canopied seating areas. He fashioned a decadent La Dolce Vita-inspired design for the New York Academy of Art’s Tribeca Ball, which featured voluminous sheer pink draping of the entire dining area within Gotham Hall—creating a sumptuous setting for tables that had rich adornments like towering black plumes. Other big events Todd designed include a dinner to celebrate the Emilio Pucci store opening, the American Cancer Society’s Dream Ball, and the Robert Cavalli-sponsored “Wild” exhibition opening at the Costume Institute.
