The Food Network & Cooking Channel New York City Wine & Food Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2017. In 2016, Coca-Cola took over as presenting sponsor, and organizers expanded its geographic reach by bringing more events to Brooklyn. Next: October 12-15, 2017

#2 Food & Restaurant Industry Event
Held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, the Fancy Food Show is the largest specialty food marketplace in North America. The 2016 event was the largest in the show’s history, drawing more than 47,000 attendees and 2,670 exhibitors from 55 countries. It also generated more than 100,000 pounds of food donations for City Harvest. Next: June 25-27, 2017

#3 Food & Restaurant Industry Event
More than 550 vendors and 16,000 food-industry professionals are expected to attend the International Restaurant & Foodservice Show of New York, which will honor Union Square Hospitality Group’s Danny Meyer with the Torch Award. The three-day event includes live culinary demos, hundreds of new products, ethnic cuisine pavilions, and more than 40 educational sessions. Next: March 5-7, 2017

#4 Food & Restaurant Industry Event
The 32nd annual Chefs’ Tribute to Citymeals on Wheels will raise money to provide meals to housebound senior citizens throughout New York. This year’s event will focus on Mediterranean cuisine. Next: June 12, 2017

#6 Food & Restaurant Industry Event
Village Voice Choice Eats was held at the Metropolitan Pavilion in 2016, where 2,000 ticketholders had the chance to sample dishes from more than 60 of the city’s best restaurants. The culinary festival celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Next: May 19, 2017
