INDUSTRY NEWS: The Event Industry Council has announced its 2019 Hall of Leaders inductees and Pacesetter Award winners, who will be honored on September 10 at Light Nightclub at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. CHICAGO: The annual Chicago Invitational, presented by the New Art Dealers Alliance, will take place September 18-21 at the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel.

LOS ANGELES: L.A. Women Tours and Dearly Departed Tours will host a Valley of the Dolls-theme cocktail party and dinner on August 9 at Raleigh Studios. The event kicks off the annual Dearly Departed Weekend, which commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Tate-LaBianca murders.

The 10th annual Reggae on the Mountain will take place August 17-18 at King Gillette Ranch.

LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY: Louisville Tourism has partnered with the city’s art organization, Fund for the Arts, to launch “Art in Lou,” a program that will provide artists with paid opportunities to perform in public spaces. The program will run through November. 

NEW YORK: The annual New York Comedy Festival will take place November 4-10. Stephen Colbert, Nicole Byer, Trevor Noah, and Jenny Slate are among the headliners. 

Four Winters has opened its first East Coast ice cream shop in Long Island City. The shop serves liquid nitrogen-based ice cream with locally sourced ingredients.

SAN FRANCISCO: Radisson Hotel Sunnyvale - Silicon Valley is now open after undergoing a multimillion-dollar renovation. Formerly the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, the hotel has 180 guest rooms and 2,000 square feet of meeting space.
