BOSTON: The pin-pong club Spin announced it will open its 10th location in Boston next year, a 14,000-square-foot venue in the Seaport district.

CHICAGO: Arcade bar Replay Lincoln Park will host a pop-up inspired by Stephen King’s It October 11-31.

Jackson Chance’s seventh annual Ping Pong Ball will take place November 14 at the St. Jane Hotel. 

CINCINNATI: The Lytle Park Hotel will open downtown in December. The Autograph Collection property will have 106 rooms and more than 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space. 

DALLAS/FORT WORTH: The National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation has selected Arlington as the site of the future National Medal of Honor Museum, slated to open in 2024. 

DENVER: Re/Max Events has promoted Pam Harris to senior vice president of customer experience. 

HOUSTON: Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is slated to open a 204-room hotel in midtown in 2022. The hotel, which will have 14,000 square feet of event space, is part of Kimpton’s new partnership with Houston-based mixed-use development company Laneways.

LOS ANGELES: Los Angeles Times: “Filling a vacancy at the top of one of its most critical ventures, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced Thursday that Bill Kramer will take the reins as the new director of the organization’s long-awaited film museum.”

MIAMI/SOUTH FLORIDA: Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade will host its 13th annual overnight “Wild About Kids” Gala November 16-17 aboard Norwegian Cruise Line’s Encore ship. 

NEW YORK: Amazon Prime Video will host the Museum of Modern Love from October 10-13 at 632 Broadway, in celebration of its upcoming romantic comedy anthology Modern Love. A grand opening celebration of the interactive pop-up will be followed by the red carpet premiere of the series on October 10. Invite-only events at the pop-up will include an event by Amazon Wedding Registry and Domino, a panel about love and relationships presented by Fire TV, and a closing night party hosted by Entertainment Weekly

The 18th season of Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park will run October 31-March 1, 2020. The event will have more than 170 shops curated by Urbanspace. 

Housing Works’ Fashion For Action benefit will take place November 14 at the Rubin Museum of Art and Chelsea Thrift Shop. A public sale will run November 15-16.

SAN FRANCISCO: Viceroy Hotels has appointed Lanie Griffin area director of group sales for the Viceroy Urban Retreats collection.

Goop will bring its wellness summit In Goop Health to San Francisco on November 16. The event will have six themed spaces that will host workshops and panels throughout the day. Speakers will include Marianne Williamson, Sophia Bush, and BJ Miller. Goop also will open a permanent store on Fillmore Street in November.
