TORONTO: The eighth annual Purple Party, presented by TD and Procom, raised more than $200,000 for childhood cancer research and programs through Childhood Cancer Canada and Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation. The event took place October 24.
WASHINGTON: Thompson Washington D.C. hotel will open in the Capitol Riverfront neighborhood in December. The 225-room hotel will have 7,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, including a rooftop that can hold more than 300 guests for receptions.
The Virginia Restaurant, Lodging & Travel Association recognized the National Conference Center in Leesburg as hotel of the year and the property’s executive chef, Frank Estremera, as chef of the year.
