Industry News: TechCrunch Disrupt Goes Virtual, a New Culinary Tour Launches in Las Vegas, BCRF Raises $5.2 Million, and More

NATIONAL: TechCrunch's annual event, Disrupt, will take place virtually September 14-18.

LAS VEGAS: Finger Licking Foodie Tours, a self-guided culinary tour through downtown Las Vegas, launches on June 1. The new small-group offering comes from the team behind Lip Smacking Foodie Tours.

Fast-casual pizzeria Cousins New York Pizza & Pasta opened for dine-in service on May 19. The Italian eatery will strictly enforce social distancing measures; food is also available for delivery and curbside pick-up. 

LOS ANGELES: This year's BET Experience—the three-day annual festival that leads up to the BET Awards—has been canceled. It had previously been slated for June 25 to 27 at L.A. Live; the award show itself will be held virtually on June 28.

NEW YORK: The Breast Cancer Research Foundation raised more than $5.2 million at its inaugural Virtual Hot Pink Evening on May 20. Highlights included a Broadway tribute to Hamilton star Mandy Gonzalez, plus appearances from Elton John, Elizabeth Hurley, Karlie Kloss, Edie Falco, and more.

TORONTO: The 32nd annual Beaches International Jazz Festival will be virtual this year. Running from July 17-26, the online event will support frontline works at the Michael Garron Hospital.
