NATIONAL: Teen Vogue's next virtual event, Teen Vogue Orientation, will take place on Aug. 14. The event will be hosted via Zoom and is free and open to students of all ages. Teen Vogue editors will lead the orientation, spotlighting career and entrepreneurship conversations with industry leaders in areas of fashion and media, beauty and wellness, and politics and culture; there will also be a message from congresswoman Ayanna Pressley.

SAN DIEGO: ARLO restaurant plans to open in Mission Valley in mid-August. Helmed by chef Josh Mouzakes, ARLO will use local ingredients to create diverse menu offerings such as seafood, grilled and smoked meats, and vegetarian and vegan dishes inspired by the indigenous flavor profiles of the region. The restaurant is located on the newly renovated Town and Country resort grounds.
