NATIONAL: Pandora will host a free, virtual event with Dolly Parton Dec. 4. The holiday-themed celebration, part of the ongoing series Pandora Live, will be filmed from a Nashville, Tenn., studio and feature Parton and other artists performing classic holiday hits and discussing their favorite holiday traditions.
NIAGARA FALLS: The Niagara Floral Showhouse Christmas event will run from Nov. 21 to Jan. 1. The event's annual Poinsettia Show has a "Technicolour Christmas" theme and will feature 1,000 poinsettias beneath a display of rainbow lights. Tickets are available online.
TORONTO: The 116th annual Toronto Santa Claus Parade will be recorded prior to its air date Dec. 5 and will appear on CTV and CTV2 as a two-hour broadcast. While the parade typically takes place in the city, organizers have moved it to Canada’s Wonderland to allow for social distancing. It will include 23 colorful floats, special musical guest performances, and celebrity appearances and will be hosted by CTV media personalities Melissa Grelo and Kelsey McEwen.
The producers of Immersive Van Gogh will open Illusionarium, an exhibition on the history of magic, at the Toronto Star printing press building Dec. 14. The immersive event uses 3D projections, lifelike holograms, and live magicians in a socially distanced setting.
VANCOUVER: The annual Weirdos Holiday Market is taking place from Nov. 19 to Dec. 14. Typically, Weirdos is a two-day market held over a single weekend in December. This year, the holiday shopping event is a monthlong, storefront pop-up at 2308 Broadway. Attendees are able to shop from over 30 vendors showcasing a variety of unique gifts.
