CANADA: Updates on Just for Laughs 2021, the Virtual Vancouver Boat Show and More

NATIONAL: On March 2, BareMinerals and Hailey Bieber are inviting consumers to a shoppable "Virtual Villa" getaway. The hosts will tout the latest news from the brand, including updates to the Power Of Good Fund and the company's commitment to sustainability. There will also be a variety of interactive moments, photo ops and new product demos. 

MONTREAL: The 39th edition of comedy festival Just for Laughs will take place July 15-31 in a hybrid format. Headliners and more programming details are expected to be announced soon. Submissions are now being accepted for the Eat My Shorts short film program (top selections will be screened digitally from July 26–31, and voted upon by a jury) and Stand Up and Pitch ’21, a series for pitches and short films.

TORONTO: Eleven Toronto gyms are teaming up for a three-week virtual fitness competition called the Toronto Throwdown At-Home Series. It kicked off Feb. 18 and runs through March 8. The $25 registration fee includes access to weekly workouts; participants have until Monday evenings to post their results. There are also daily virtual classes to allow for group workouts.

VANCOUVER: Fairmont Pacific Rim and Fairmont Waterfront have both received certification from Sharecare Health Security VERIFIED with Forbes Travel Guide, showing that they have appropriate health and safety procedures in place. The properties are the fourth and fifth hotels in Canada to receive the designation to date.

The 2021 Vancouver Boat Show is taking place virtually from Feb. 24-27. The digital event is free with registration and will feature virtual boat tours, 360-degree showrooms, video content and more.
